Groups
Overview
The Groups section provides administrators with a detailed summary of the groups within the project. This section is designed to offer key information at a glance, ensuring that administrators have quick access to essential details about each group.

Within the support pages, we have two areas for Groups. This section is for administrators to create, view, and manage groups within a project. For information intended for users and volunteers who will be interacting with the groups area only, please head over to this groups page.
Groups Table
The Groups Table displays all the groups within this project. These groups can be:
- Searched by using the search input
- Filtered by:
- Status
- Type

How to Create a Group
Creating a group within the platform allows you to manage and organise each group within your project efficiently. Follow the steps below to create a new group:
- Navigate to the Projects - Groups page.
- Press the Add New Group button, which will open the Create Group form.

Fill in the Group Information:
- Membership Process:
- Is the party currently going through the membership process?
- Yes: The aim is for this group to become a member.
- No: This is informational only.
- Is the party currently going through the membership process?
- Group Details:
- Name: Enter the name assigned to this group.
- Joined Date: Select the date the group joined.
- Group Type: Select the type of group from the dropdown menu.
- Group Status: Select a status for the group.
- Parent Group: Select a parent group if applicable.
- Description: Provide a brief description of the group.

Social Media:
- Add social media: Press the Add social media button to input social media links.
- Address:
- Search Address: Start typing the address, and it will auto-populate the fields below.
- Address Line 1: The first line of the address.
- Address Line 2: The second line of the address.
- Town or City: The city where the group is located.
- County: The county where the group is located.
- Postcode: The postal code for the address.
- Country: Select the country from the dropdown menu.
- Latitude and Longitude: Coordinates for the address, which can be filled in if known.
- Add social media: Press the Add social media button to input social media links.
- Membership Process:

Press the Save button.
- A new group has been created and is now visible in the Groups Table.
How to Delete a Group
Deleting a group is a straightforward process but should be done with caution as it permanently removes the group's record from the project. Follow the steps below to delete a group:
- Navigate to the Projects - Groups page.
- Locate the group you wish to delete in the Groups Table.
- Press the button in the Actions column, which will open a menu.
- Press the Delete option, which will open a confirmation pop-up.
- Press Yes, I'm sure to confirm the deletion or choose No, cancel to stop the group from being deleted.
