Overview
The Details section within a group is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the group's information. This includes basic details such as the group's name, status, type, and description, as well as additional information like social media links, address, and coordinators. Keeping this section updated ensures accurate record-keeping and effective management of the group's information.
How to Add Details within the Group Section
Follow the steps below to add or update details within the group section:

Navigate to the Group Section
- Go to the Groups page within a a Project .
- Select the specific group you wish to update from the list by clicking the three dots in the action column then clicking "View".
- Toggle the "Edit Mode" slider at the top of the form.

Update Group Information
- Name: Verify or update the group's name in the Name field.
- Joined Date: Set or update the date the group joined using the calendar date selector.
- Group Status: Select the current status of the group from the dropdown menu.
- Group Type: Ensure the group type is correctly selected from the dropdown menu.
- Parent Group: If applicable, select a parent group from the dropdown menu.

Membership Process
- Indicate if the group is currently going through the membership process by selecting Yes or No. Please note that a "Yes" answer indicates that the aim is for this group to become a member.

Add or Update Description
- Provide a brief description of the group in the Description field.

Social Media
- To add or update social media links, click the Add social media button and enter the appropriate URLs. To delete a social media link, clear the URL and save the form.

Address Information
- Fill in the following address fields as needed:
- Address Line 1: Enter the first line of the address.
- Address Line 2: Enter the second line of the address (if applicable).
- Town or City: Enter the town or city.
- County: Enter the county.
- Postcode: Enter the postcode.
- Country: Select the country from the dropdown menu.
- Latitude: Enter the latitude coordinate.
- Longitude: Enter the longitude coordinate.
Entering address details will create a map preview to show this location.
- Fill in the following address fields as needed:

Add Coordinators
- Under the Coordinators section, select coordinators from the list of users associated with the CAG by typing their names in the Liaisons field.

Save Changes
- Once all the details have been entered or updated, press the Save changes button to apply the updates.
- If you do not want to save the changes, press the Discard changes button.
By following these steps, administrators can ensure that the group details are accurately maintained.
